Kayla Sawyer - Lion's Gate Bridge
On October 27th, our class took a walk around Lion's Gate Bridge. Many of the plants were seemingly very healthy, but I was especially drawn to the rosemary bush next to the statues. Even though it was a dreary day, the rosemary bush communicated its health and flourishment. Although it was crowded by the various other plants, the rosemary bush was able to establish its own place within the bushes and was especially beautiful. I believe that I was drawn to the plant because my mom always loved rosemary when I was a child, and we had lots of rosemary in our back yard. The smell was very nostalgic for me, and I enjoyed being able to communicate with the bush. The scent of the bush spread through the air, leaving a relaxing aroma surrounding the plant. I cannot wait to go back to Lion's Gate Bridge in the Spring and see the flowers all over the rosemary bush. The bush stood out amongst everything else, even though it was cloudy that day.
